Note to readers: Posting from me has been very erratic, if not nearly absent, the last couple months. I think you’ll understand why, with this post. I look forward to getting back to regular posting and podcasting soon. - Kevin I’ve been writing opinion pieces in some fashion for over thirty years. Sharing thoughts, speaking publicly, and writing is something that has always come pretty easy to me. I say all that to say, I’ve really struggled getting this particular post out. The words have not come easily at all. I’ve put this off and put this off. Perhaps it’s the finality of the situation, but I’ve just been really reluctant to write out my thoughts.
Beautifully written, Kevin, and the story of your Mom is a beautiful one as well. You were blessed. My father died nearly seven years ago, and my mother is still with us, but her time will come, and it will be devastating. I hope when that happens, I'll be able to share my thoughts about how they both blessed my life as thoughtfully and honestly as you have here. Thank you.
